VBG appoints a business area manager and re-invests in Machine Element

Mr Thomas Moka is assuming the position as responsible for the business area Machine Element in the VBG Group on 1st of July and will lead the offensive re-investment work. Nearest he has held leading positions at some of the largest competitors in the business area.

Machine Element is one of the group´s two business areas with products sold under the brand name RINGFEDER. The products are among others applicable for areas in advanced power transmission to a wide industrial market.

Last year the group management launched a plan to re-structure the production, purchasing and logistics in the business area Machine Element to reduce the costs and increase the competiveness. The recruit-ment of Mr Thomas Moka is a continuation of this investment.

Thomas Moka has a solid marketing and product competence, from Germany as well as from the important export markets. Nearest he held the position as sales manager at the German company Gerwah GmbH during two years. Before then he was working almost a decade for Ringspann GmbH. Both companies compete with the group´s business area.

– RINGFEDER is the strongest brand name on the market, says Thomas Moka. It was Ringfeder that first launched the shaft-hub connections and hold the patent, which the competitors then proceeded from when the patent expired. I am here to prove that Ringfeder has much more to offer.

– The group works towards two different markets, Mr Anders Birgersson CEO of the VBG Group points out. To organize the structure accordingly will create new business opportunities and increase our possibilities to act strongly on both fronts. The important focus is the customers and their needs. Our own legal structure is of less interest to the market.
