Responsible business that protects people, society and the environment is a prerequisite for being a long-term strong company. It is important to us and to our stakeholders. VBG Group's sustainability work is integrated into the business strategy, which means that both the group and the divisions are covered by the sustainability goals.
VBG Groups has worked with sustainability goals set in the period 2017-2022. New targets were drawn up in 2022 for the period 2023-2030.

The sustainability work is based on VBG Group's Code of Conduct, which was adopted by VBG Group's board in 2010. During 2022, a major update of the document has taken place. The purpose of the code is to clarify what approach we should have towards our stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as what demands we place on ourselves and others. The code of conduct covers all divisions in the group. It can be seen as a guideline for our employees and partners. By applying the Code of Conduct, we follow current laws and regulations in the countries where we operate, the UN's basic principles for responsible business (Global Compact), the UN's Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international agreements and guidelines.
In addition to the code of conduct, our sustainability work is based on the Group's common mindset; Keystones.
In 2022, VBG Group signed the UN initiative United Nations Global Compact, where we commit to actively work with sustainability issues and to report our work to the UN annually. The work is based on the Global Compact's ten principles, which are based on internationally accepted conventions on human rights, labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption. Through the UN Global Compact, we also have a responsibility to promote the UN's 17 goals for sustainable development, the global goals.
